This is one of my favorite anti-inflammatory immunity boosts. Its warming citrus delight is perfect for an autumn or winter day. Sweet potatoes, oranges, and cinnamony goodness make this combination irresistible. But this delicious and natural juice is just as amazing as a summertime refresher splashed over ice.
Run all ingredients through the juicer except cinnamon.
Whisk in cinnamon.
A couple of twists of pepper in your cup (to enhance the health benefits of turmeric)
Sprinkle chia seeds on top
Serve over ice.
Notes
Choose organic fruits and vegetables whenever possible for the most nutrition.
If you’re new to juicing, start small. It’s better to work your way up to more fruits, veggies, and greens.
Beets and turmeric can stain clothing and work surfaces, so take extra caution with work surfaces and your clothing.
Purple sweet potatoes also work in place of orange sweet potatoes.
Citrus fruit, such as lemons or limes, add a boost of nutrients, and it's a good way to balance the flavor if incorporating greens.
Drink your fresh juice immediately for the most nutritional benefits. You can also store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
The leftover pulp from juicing can be reused and used in smoothies, soups, veggie burgers, etc.
