Letting Go of All Or Nothing

I talk a lot about mindsets because they have such an impact on our life.

It’s easy to get caught up in an all-or-nothing mindset — one of the endless traps of perfectionism. Whether we’re applying this to relationships, parenting, diet, or exercise, it’s easier to approach life with a more open-minded attitude.

When we view life in extremes, such as success or failure, never or always, right or wrong, we’re setting unrealistic standards — for ourselves and others.

Evaluating what could be better helps us learn — it’s a way to measure growth. But it’s also important to find and acknowledge the good.

No matter how much effort we put forth, nothing is perfect. When we can let go of all or nothing, it’s a freeing gift to ourselves and our loved ones.
