5 Flexible Meals for Plant-Based and Meat-Loving Families

Meals everyone can enjoy

Meal planning takes time and effort — especially with a family. More so when everyone has different preferences.

It takes some forethought, but most meals are flexible. Here are some easy ideas I use for my plant-based and meat-loving family.

Flexible mix-and-match meals

  1. Chili dogs: A pot of 3 bean chili with an option of grilled plant-based and regular hot dogs

  2. Sandwiches: Veggies, hummus, avocado, sprouts, cheese, and meat

  3. Taco salad: Taco meat in one dish and beans with taco seasoning in another. Fixings: lettuce, pico, guacamole, salsa, and cheese

  4. Nachos: One tray of bean nachos — one tray with chicken and cheese with a side of lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and guacamole

  5. Mexican tacos: Tortillas, carne asada, refried beans, Mexican rice, shredded cabbage, salsa, onions, and cilantro
