  • 8 apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
  • 1-1/4 cup water
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

Directions
  1. Place apples, water, and cinnamon in a medium-sized pot with lid.
  2. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Turn off the heat and add lemon juice.
  4. Mash if you prefer a chunkier version, or blend with an immersion blender for a smoother consistency.
  5. Drizzle with maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
  6. Store in refrigerator for up to 4–5 days.
