It’s Never Too Late…

My mindset changed forever the day I filed for divorce.

He asked me not to tell anyone.
To pretend everything was okay.
I’d upheld the blame.

But then I decided no more — it wasn’t my job to cover up his wrongdoings.

I built up enough courage to ask for help.
First from family and friends.
Then from a coach and counselor.

Books and support from loved ones pushed me to believe in possibilities again.

I started trusting in myself.
I began chasing old dreams. Dreams he didn’t think I was capable of achieving.
And all of a sudden, I was doing exactly what I’d always wanted.

The lesson is this:
It’s never too late to go after your dreams. Make the decision. You’re most certainly worth it and enough.

And nobody — no matter who they are has a right to tell you you’re not.
