I love sauces, salsas, herbs, and seasonings. When done right, they bring food to an entirely new level.
My family loves taco night. We rotate taco salad, tacos, 7-layer dip, tostadas, etc. We include salsas, rice, beans, taco meat (plant-based and meat options), and all the fixings.
I also like making our own taco seasoning — it’s easy, healthy, and flavorful. It’s perfect for meat, beans, tempeh, tofu, plant-based meat, or whichever your desired taco filling.

Ingredients
- ½ tablespoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon chipotle powder
- ½ tablespoon nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon each paprika, onion, and garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Mexican oregano
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Combine ingredients and store in an airtight container.
Notes
When using taco mix, add ¼ cup water and salsa to your desired taco filling.
