No-Cook Pizza Sauce
Ingredients
- (1) 15-ounce can tomato sauce
- ¾ teaspoon maple syrup
- ¾ teaspoon oregano
- ¾ teaspoon basil
- ¾ teaspoon onion powder
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon nutritional yeast
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon fennel, optional
- ½ teaspoon crushed red chili pepper, optional and adjust to taste
- Drizzle of olive oil, optional, extra virgin
Instructions
- In a medium-sized bowl, add all ingredients. Stir to combine. If desired, taste and adjust seasoning to your liking. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
- Optionally, let the sauce rest in the refrigerator for a few hours to help the flavors develop.
- A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil adds richness and helps carry the flavors of the herbs and spices throughout the sauce.
