Pancakes with sliced bananas and maple syrup drizzled over

Bananas are a staple in my kitchen. I buy them when they’re yellow or with a few brown spots — that’s when they’re the perfect kind of ripe for freezing and recipes.

5 Ways to Use Up Ripe Bananas

  1. Freeze for banana “nice” cream, smoothies, and smoothie bowls

  2. Caramelized bananas in oatmeal

  3. Chocolate chip banana bread waffles or banana blueberry pancakes

  4. Banana bread, muffins, and oatmeal banana cookies

  5. Cinnamon bananas with nuts and maple syrup (recipe below)

Directions
