Nutritional Yeast is a great source of minerals, B vitamins, protein, and antioxidants. Studies suggest it may support immune health, help regulate blood sugar, and improve energy levels. Perfect on top of popcorn, it gives your snack a cheesy, nutty flavor while adding nutritional benefits.
We love family movie nights here, and this is our go-to snack. The kids absolutely love pairing this with creamy Vegan Cheese Sauce or Vegan Nacho Cheese Sauce with pretzel bites. So good (and so easy in the Instant Pot!)!

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
- ¼ cup nutritional yeast
Instructions
- Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large, thick-bottomed pan.
- Add 3 kernels of popcorn to the pan. Secure the lid and listen for the three pops.
- Add the remaining ½ cup kernels to form an even layer. Gently shake the pan so all kernels are coated with oil.
- Cover, leaving it slightly ajar, to let some of the steam release as it pops.
- Shake every thirty seconds or so to prevent burning.
- Once popcorn slows to around 5 seconds between pops, remove from heat.
- Pour into a large bowl and add nutritional yeast.
- Shake to combine.
