I’m a big believer in family-time rituals.
It builds strong bonds and connections with kids.
Depending on our schedules, Friday or Saturday is our pizza and movie night.
They pick out the movie, and we make our own homemade pizzas.
We’re all hands-on in the kitchen. We dice, slice, and spread out the toppings. Some eat meat, while others are plant-based. There’s lots of flexibility and options when making pizza — with the crust and toppings.
It’s a big creative, delicious mess — and with a large family, there are lots of cooks in the kitchen.
But we look forward to it each week.
It’s amazing for team-building and connecting — a win-win. In fact, it’s a staple for our weekly meal planning. And there are leftovers for lunch the following day.
