I like to make a large batch and store it in an airtight container in the fridge. It’ll stay fresh for up to 4 days, so you’ll always have a refreshing beverage on hand.

Easy Herbal Iced Tea

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon nettle
- 1 tablespoon hibiscus
- 1 tablespoon chamomile
- 1 tablespoon oat straw
- Slice of orange, optional
- Honey, OR maple syrup to sweeten, optional
Instructions
- Add nettle, hibiscus, chamomile, and oat straw to a 2-quart heat-safe glass jar.
- Pour about 4 cups hot water over the herbs. Cover and steep for 15–20 minutes.
- After steeping, add cold filtered water until the jar is filled to the 2-quart line.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for a stronger, colder tea.
- Strain through a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or fine-mesh strainer.
- Serve over ice with orange slices and honey, maple syrup, or agave if desired.
- Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Notes
- Steeping: Steep the loose herbs in hot water for 15–20 minutes before chilling. Refrigerate for 4–6 hours, or overnight for a stronger iced tea.
- Note on Sweetening: For a vegan option, skip the honey and use maple syrup, agave, or your favorite sweetener.
- Herb note: Herbal teas can be a lovely part of a wellness routine, but everyone’s body and situation are different. Check with your healthcare provider before using new herbs, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition.
