No matter what’s on the menu. Balancing healthy eating with fun family nights with kids nourishes the body and soul.

Finding balance between healthy eating and joy is key to a Holistic Lifestyle.
And while I center most meals around nutrition, each week, we have a fun family movie night where we create a meal together—whether it's Cheesy Popcorn, English Muffin Pizzas, Nachos in a Bowl, or a Hummus Board. The menu is always open!
These meals are easy, delicious, and help foster connection, core elements of both family life and Blue Zone living.
In Blue Zones, where people live the longest, shared meals and social connection are essential for longevity and happiness. Meals enjoyed together are a big part of the recipe for a long life.
Since my family has different preferences, we often make versions with meat and without.
Last week was egg rolls. We made a batch of 100 (yes to leftovers!), 50 with tofu and 50 with chicken. It’s a long but fun-filled process.
Everyone pitches in— chopping, sauteeing, making this Egg Roll Dip Recipe, wrapping, frying, and cleaning (as we go).
It brings much joy and connection , even if it’s not the healthiest. As nutritious as kale is, food is just one part of a healthy life. Fun family nights nourish our souls, no matter what's on the menu.
